Introductory Note

Formed in the principal-led, multi-family office tradition, 1788 Shteyn & Co..

Investment Approach

Capital allocation conducted with restraint, precision, and continuity.

1788 Shteyn & Co. undertakes principal investment activities within a private capital context shaped by long-standing family office traditions. Emphasis is placed on disciplined oversight, direct involvement, and careful selection of opportunities across real assets and related commercial interests.
The name reflects “Shteyn” (from German “Stein,” meaning stone), a quiet reference to stability and the notion of a cornerstone underpinning long-term capital stewardship.
The focus remains on preservation of capital, gradual value development, and measured deployment in situations where long-term alignment, governance clarity, and operational substance are evident.
Investment Themes

Real-asset holdings with disciplined diversification into hospitality, agriculture, and technology.

Traditionally, the wealth of multi-family offices has been linked to the inheritance and long-term stewardship of historic buildings, restored through façade retention with full interior renewal. Real estate therefore remains the central investment focus of 1788 Shteyn Office.

Within these landmark assets, selected luxury retail and restaurant concepts have been introduced to sustain economic use while preserving the character of the buildings. Larger properties are typically adapted for hotel use.

Over time, the investment scope has broadened to include agricultural land and selected technology-related activities, including food manufacturing, supply chain operations, and trading platforms.

Investment and financing are undertaken selectively and only where opportunities meet defined criteria. Initial inquiries are reviewed by NCT, which assesses strategic fit, alignment of interests, and practical feasibility before further consideration is given.
